The founder of the firm, Ernst Heinrich Neven, was born in 1905,
and started his own business in 1965 at the age of 60, after a
a lifetime spent in the tea trade. In the seventies, his sons, Wulf and
Jörn, began gradually to take over the direction of this firm
DIE TEEKISTE ("The Tea Chest"). The individual selection
of special teas in small quantities was continued
in order to pass on the tastes developed on the tea estates
Furthermore, the assortment was widened to
include classic accessories with modern
design, some of them created by the firm itself, such
as the swiveling teapot with stand and the practical tilting teapot.
A wide selection of samovars encourages the Russian tradition
of companiable tea-drinking. Our shop in the center of Hamburg
is furnished with fond attention to detail,
thus surrounding visitors with a Hanseatic atmosphere
and offers expert advice. |
